MGSD Staff Acceptable Use Policy in a Nutshell

General Guiding Principles of Network Use:

1. The network is to be used only for activities related to work
2. You should not assume that anything you do on the network is private, because
1. The district is allowed to monitor staff use of the network, and
2. No network is entirely secure

What not to do:

Please do not:

1) Install software without permission

2) Log on as anyone else

3) Go anywhere on the system where you are not plainly authorized

4) Do anything which disrupts the performance of the network

5) Send potentially offensive e-mail

6) Use the network for personal or commercial purposes

7) Break copyright laws

8) Leave any computer while still logged on

9) Spam
